Landlady tasks

Write a paragraph (between 70-100 words as if continuing the story telling what you think happened next.

Billy stiffened defensively at the sickly sweet smile the landlady produced. He knew now he was in some trouble. “I’m sorry but I have forgotten that I have a meeting now, I must be off,” said Billy nervosley. “I’m afraid I can’t let you do that my dear” she said. Billy sat bolt upright, he noticed the new red rash that was appearing on his left arm. Frightened, Billy started to make his way to the door not caring about his belongings upstairs but was stopped by a wrinkled hand grasping his arm and the sound of the door locking.

Is the Landlady a continuation of the tradition of stories about women as witches, and which teach mistrust and caution?

I think that The Landlady is a continuation of the tradition of stories as women as witches as there is a lot of hints that the Landlady is using some sort of witchery like when Billy saw the house he felt a compulsion, a desire to go over to the little Bed and Breakfast. This could have been the work of a witch? Twenty-five people were killed in the Salem witch trials, so the Landlady may have gone into hiding, and lured the boys in? Or maybe she was just an absolute psychopath, that would also make sense. The Landlady seemed like a nice and sweet old lady, but underneath she is actually crazy. Which shows use that just because someone looks nice, doesn’t mean that they actually are.
